The added thickness, as well as the surrounding Power Sync foam ring, softens the feel, giving us longer dwell time and a bigger sweet spot for steadier resets and more control on dinks. At the same time, the 16.2” Hybrid shape stays quick in our hands, making it easier to react in fast rallies than with the elongated Pro.
The 18K triaxial carbon fiber surface on the Edge BluCore Hybrid 16mm grips the ball in every direction to help us load spin into rolls and counters. Compared to the Hybrid 14mm, this version plays with more stability and touch, and compared to the Pro 16mm, it offers quicker maneuverability with slightly less reach.
