The adidas ESSNOVA STRL LD is the poppier version of the ESSNOVA CARBON CTRL HD paddle. The Low Density core has more give, so the ball will rebound off the paddle face more giving you the extra pop. Otherwise, these two paddle feel very much alike. The have the 3K Carbon face for control and a square shape that puts the sweet spot towards the center of the paddle. It is well balanced and comfortable in the hand.
The adidas ESSNOVA CTRL LD paddle includes that technology found throughout the advance and intermediate line – perimeter structural reinforcement and Spin Blade technology.
This paddle is considered an intermediate to advanced player paddle.
